History Behind the Boudoir Doll These faded ladies first appeared prior to 1920, and were known by many names, pillow dolls, bed dolls and the Boudoir doll. They were extraordinarily popular with their delicate composition features, mohair or real hair, and rich gowns of satin and lace. Many dolls came in hats fashioned with soft veils, tiny roses, and fragile feathers. |
